In a new commentary published by Defense Opinion, Knowmadics CEO and Co-founder, Paul Maguire, examines what the Warfighting Acquisition System could mean for the way defense capabilities are developed, tested and delivered.

Maguire states that greater speed requires more than accelerating existing acquisition processes. Requirements must evolve alongside operational needs, testing must happen earlier in realistic environments, and feedback from the field must remain connected to development. Technical modularity must also become an operational strategy rather than a requirement programs satisfy on paper.
A closer connection among operators, acquisition leaders and technology developers can help ensure new capabilities are relevant, adaptable and ready for the conditions in which they will be used.
