Recognition highlights leadership in delivering mission-ready AI for defense and national security operations
Knowmadics announced that Dr. Michael P. Jenkins, Chief Product and Technology Officer, has been named an NVTC AI50 Executive by the Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC). The recognition highlights leaders driving the practical application of artificial intelligence (AI) across the National Capital Region.
Selected by an independent panel from more than 160 applicants, the AI50 recognizes executives advancing AI from development into operational use across sectors including defense, healthcare, and enterprise technology.
Dr. Jenkins shapes the Knowmadics approach to applied AI, aligning product, engineering, and research into a unified execution model that delivers mission-ready capabilities. His work centers on decision-centric AI designed to support operators in high-risk environments, where speed, accuracy, and accountability are critical.
“AI must perform in real conditions where decisions carry consequence,” said Dr. Jenkins. “We build systems that support operators in making timely, defensible decisions under pressure.”
Under his leadership, Knowmadics has advanced trusted, explainable AI-enabled capabilities across electronic warfare, counter-UAS, cyber operations, and space domain awareness. These systems fuse data from multiple sources to deliver real-time situational awareness and decision support for mission operators.
Dr. Jenkins also leads enterprise adoption of AI within the company and established a formal AI policy to guide secure and responsible use.
Honorees will be recognized at the NVTC Impact AI & AI50 Awards Summit on May 14, 2026, in Tysons, Virginia.
