We were honored to address the Round Rock, TX Chamber of Commerce at their December meeting, to highlight our expansion in their region. August Alvarado, Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman John Carter, Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan, City Manager Laurie Hadley, Chamber President Jordan Robinson, and a group of enthusiastic entrepreneurs came out to welcome us to their vibrant and growing business community.
Our new facility, located in the Office Evolution co-working center near downtown Round Rock, is an excellent location for our current Texas team, and is ideal for supporting our intended growth over the next year and beyond. Having this formal, modern work environment moves us in exactly the right direction for building our business in Texas. Aside from work and meeting space, the location can also accommodate software training classes to support the many tactical exercises we conduct with the military. One of our new employees, Tim Perez, was on hand at the Chamber meeting to explain how we will be expanding that practice in the Round Rock area.
An Ideal Location
While it’s not too far from the Austin metropolitan area, we chose Round Rock because we recognize it as a unique and valuable technology hub with a pro-business climate and a wide pool of mature professional talent. That is particularly important as we start our growth in a new location and look to hire over the next year. With a history of defense industry innovation, Round Rock is close to Army Futures Command facilities, an important influence for modernization. And with an influx of defense contractors in recent years, Round Rock now offers a vibrant peer community and supportive environment for companies like ours.
What’s more, Round Rock’s Chamber of Commerce is standing up a new initiative to emphasize the importance of cybersecurity and attract more cyber-centric businesses to the community. That forward-looking insight is meaningful for us as we grow our practice providing defense and other organizations with a process-based, holistic approach to cybersecurity assessment, along with accelerated cyber workforce training and development. We are thrilled to be part of leading the charge to turn Round Rock into an enterprise quality, security-driven technology center.
A Warm Welcome
The many area professionals that came to the Chamber meeting included a wide range of colleagues and potential partners we will need as we expand our Texas business – from investment and commercial bankers to marketers, all of which have their own networks of local professionals that can help support our future recruiting efforts. We really appreciated the Texas friendly welcome that made us feel truly supported. While we also do business in the Houston area, Round Rock’s “vibe” most closely aligned to our business philosophy, but still enabling us to quickly have staff onsite in Houston when needed.
With Texas’ and Round Rock’s “open for business” outlook, a very supportive local congressional delegation, and the outstanding benefits offered by the Chamber and the city leader ship, we couldn’t be more excited about our latest expansion venture. If you’re down in Round Rock, come visit us!
